2024 Force Gurkha Makes its Debut in India: Check Out the Pricing Details
The much awaited Force Gurkha has finally made its grand entry in the Indian market. Rs. 18 lakh (ex-showroom), the new Gurkha 5-door version is ready to roll, while the updated Gurkha 3-door is priced at Rs. 16.75 lakh (ex-showroom). Bookings are now open and to secure your place, a deposit of Rs 25,000 is required. Force Motors confirms that deliveries will begin this week, with test drives and customer deliveries beginning in mid-May.
2024 Force Gurkha: Design
In terms of design, the 2024 Force Gurkha gets several updates. These include a redesigned single-slat grille featuring ‘Gurkha’ lettering, circular LED headlamps with integrated LED DRLs and fog lamps equipped with cornering function. Other highlights include 18-inch alloy wheels, roof rack with integrated ladder, tailgate-mounted spare wheel and tow hook.
2024 Force Gurkha: Features
Moving inside the cabin, the dashboard gets significant improvements. The 2024 Force Gurkha is loaded with features like 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, digital instrument cluster, powered ORVM, tilt and telescopic adjustable steering wheel, rear camera and tire pressure monitoring system.
2024 Force Gurkha: Engine
Under the hood, both the Gurkha versions get a 2.6-litre Mercedes-sourced diesel engine, now tuned to deliver 140 bhp and 320Nm, a significant bump from its previous 91 bhp. This power boost surpasses the Thar’s 132 bhp, 2.2-litre diesel engine.
2024 Bal Gurkha: Rivals
In the battle of the off-road giants, the Gurkha’s main rival is the Mahindra Thar, which is currently only available in a 3-door model. However, the Thar has options like a petrol engine, 2WD and an automatic gearbox, unlike the Gurkha, which sticks to diesel-manual and 4WD.
