Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma has announced that a total of 35,000 vacancies will be filled by April next year. He said that these include posts in the police force, state government grade 3 and grade 4 as well as teachers.
On his social media handle X (formerly known as Twitter), Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma said, “We are fully prepared to fill 35,000 government vacancies by April 25 in a transparent manner.”
Recruitment of Grades 3 and 4 will be done in three phases in 2024
He said that the recruitment examinations for Grade 3 and Grade 4 will be conducted in three phases including preliminary, main, and oral from September.
When will the registration start?
As per the announcement, the registration process for police recruitment will start in October, while the application process for teacher recruitment will be notified soon. Sharma said that the notification for recruitment for more than 13,000 posts of teachers in elementary and secondary education will be released soon. Exams will be conducted soon
Physical tests for more than 6,400 posts of Assam Police will start from October 3. The preliminary examination for 7,500 Grade-3 posts will be held on September 15, 22, and 29, while the exam for 4,500 Grade-4 posts will be held on October 20 and 27, the chief minister said.
