5 features new-gen Maruti Swift to borrow from Brezza
Launch of the fourth generation Swift in India is around the corner. If we are lucky enough, we might see the latest iteration of the sporty hatchback running on our roads in the next few weeks.
Test mules of the new-gen Swift have been frequently spotted over the past few months.
Since Swift is a high-volume seller for Maruti, the new-gen model is expected to witness some significant upgrades, especially in the features department. Let us look at five such features the new Maruti Swift will borrow from Brezza, which is one of the most feature-rich models in the company’s lineup.
9-inch touchscreen infotainment
Maruti will replace the 7-inch touchscreen infotainment display in the current-gen Swift with a larger and more advanced 9-inch unit. This unit has made its way to models like Grand Vitara, Brezza, Fronx, and Baleno. This unit offers seamless wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, and connected car features.
Wireless phone charger
Wireless phone charging has become a very common feature in premium cars, so much so that it is now starting to find its way in smaller, budget cars too. This feature adds convenience to people who rely heavily on their smartphones for music, navigation, etc.
360-degree camera
Another convenience cum safety feature that has found its presence in several models in recent times is 360-degree camera. This feature is really helpful when navigating through tight parking spaces and eliminating blind spots.
Head-up display
This may feel as a gimmick to many but Maruti has offered Head-up displays in many models including Brezza, Fronx, and Grand Vitara. Now, the carmaker will offer this feature in the new-gen Swift which will allow drivers to take a look at speed, navigation, and alerts without having to take their eyes off the road.
