Delhi Premier League T20: Purani Dilli 6 Captain Rishabh Pant To Miss Rest Of DPL – Sources
New Delhi: Rishabh Pant will no longer feature in the ongoing Delhi Premier League T20, as the wicketkeeper-batter is currently preparing for the upcoming Duleep Trophy, eyeing a Test return against Bangladesh. Pant, who was a part of India’s T20 World Cup-winning squad in June, was drafted as the marquee player for Purani DIlli 6 franchise in the DPL T20. Subsequently, Lalit Yadav took over the captaincy duties at Purani Dilli 6 for the rest of DPL T20.
According to sources close to the development, Pant signed for DPL T20 for just one match. In the only match Pant played, the southpaw scored 35 runs off 32 balls with four fours and a six as his team scored a mammoth 197/3. However, Purani Dilli 6 lost to Southern Delhi Superstarz.
