Railway Jobs: The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has announced an increase in the number of vacancies for Technician Grade 1 Signal and Technician Grade 3 posts. Now the new number of vacancies is 14298 for 40 categories, which was earlier 9144 for 18 categories. However, the board has not announced the new dates to apply. Candidates interested in these posts can read the notice by visiting the official website of the board – indianrailways.gov.in.
As per the notification released, the RRB CBT exam is scheduled for October/November 2024. The exam will be conducted in CBT mode and details including exam date, exam time, exam venue, etc. will be released along with the RRB Technician Admit Card.
Application Fee
For these posts, candidates of the General/OBC and EWS category will have to pay an application fee of Rs 500. The amount of Rs 400 will be refunded to UR/OBC/EWS after deducting bank charges on appearing in the exam.
Whereas, SC/ST, PH and female candidates of all categories have to pay an application fee of Rs 250, which will be refunded to them after appearing in the Stage I exam. The fee has to be paid through a Debit Card, Credit Card, or Net Banking fee mode only.
Age Limit
The age limit to apply for Technician Grade-1 Signal posts is 18 to 36 years. Also, reserved category candidates will be given relaxation in the upper age limit.
