Pixel Watch 3: Google Reveals the Update Schedule for the Latest Model

The Google Pixel Watch 3 will get several years of OS and security updates as the new smartwatch from the company is set for a market roll out in the coming weeks. Google has revamped its Pixel update strategy for smartphones, now offering up to 7 years of OS updates from the company. And while the Pixel Watch lineup may not last that long, Google is promising a decent level of support for its wearable products.

Pixel Watch 3 update support: in how many years?
The Android 14-based Pixel Watch 3 model launched this year will get three years of OS updates and security patches from Google. This means that the Watch 3 model will receive updates until October 2027 when Android 17 rolls out to the market. Google’s rival in this segment is Samsung, which offers four-yearly updates for its Galaxy smartwatches such as the Galaxy Watch 7 and the new Galaxy Watch Ultra.

Google Pixel Watch 3: Price and Features in India
Google Pixel Watch 3 is available to more buyers in India with both sizes. The 41mm Wi-Fi model of the Pixel Watch 3 is priced at Rs. 39,900 while the larger 45mm Wi-Fi model is priced at Rs. 43,900 is. Pixel Watch 3 sales details will be shared later this month.

The Pixel Watch 3 gets the same Actua display as the Pixel phones, and Google claims the bezels are 16 percent smaller but with a more active screen estate for viewing maps, messages and more. The display offers 2000 nits brightness and supports up to 60Hz refresh rate.

You can also record videos or take selfies from the Pixel Watch 3 connected to a Pixel phone. Google says that the Pixel Watch 3 can last 24 hours a day which will have to be tested to confirm the claims. There’s one more thing buyers need to know about the Pixel Watch 3 series. Google has confirmed that its smartwatches are not repairable and will only be replaced.
