Devendra Fadnavis to become Maharashtra Chief Minister, oath-taking ceremony on December 5
Mumbai: Devendra Fadnavis is all set to become Maharashtra Chief Minister. The oath-taking ceremony will be held tomorrow at Mumbai’s Azad Maidan. This will be his third term in the top post. The selection was made soon after his name was placed before the newly elected legislators.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Union Ministers Nitin Gadkari, Rajnath Singh are likely to be present during the ceremony. Devendra Fadnavis’s name was finalised for the top post at the BJP’s core committee meet held here ahead of the legislature party meeting.
Union minister Nirmala Sitharaman, former Gujarat chief minister Vijay Rupani and Devendra Fadnavis were present in the BJP’s core committee meeting. The BJP has appointed Nirmala Sitharaman and Vijay Rupani as central observers for its Maharashtra legislature party’s meeting.
