As more and more brands establish themselves in India, the local portfolio of what cars we have available to us continues to grow. Here are the top 5 upcoming cars to look out for in 2024.
1. BYD Seal EV
The BYD Seal EV is set to be unveiled on March 5, 2024 and deliveries are expected to start in April. Prices are expected to be around Rs 55 lakhs to Rs 60 lakhs. The model impresses with its 15.6 infotainment touchscreen and even more impressive 0-100km/h sprint timing of 3.8 seconds.
The Seal EV comes in two battery options, a 61.4kWh option with a range of 550km, and an 82.5kWh option range of 700km. Both battery packs support charging up to 150kW using DC power and Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability.
2. Hyundai Creta N Line
The Hyundai Creta N Line has officially set its launch for March 11, 2024 with bookings already underway for a token amount of Rs 25,000. However, no official pricing has been announced to date.
Two variants of the Creta N Line is expected, N8 and N10, both of which are expected to get the updated exterior and top-notch safety features including ADAS tech.
3. Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor
Toyota is expected to launch the Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor tentatively in March, 2024. Estimated prices are around Rs 12 lakhs for the base variant and going up to Rs 15 lakhs for the top-spec version.
Toyota may also offer leatherette upholstery on the seats, with a digital instrument cluster and touchscreen system with connected AppleCarplay and AndroidAuto, ventilated seats, a wireless charging pad, a heads-up display, and a panoramic sunroof among other amenities.
4. Citroen C3X crossover
The Citroen C3X crossover has been seen being tested on the streets of India. Expected to be launched tentatively in March, 2024. The price of the C3X is expected to be between Rs 12 to Rs 15 lakhs depending on the variant.
During the public road test phase, the interior of the Citroen C3X was leaked. The C3X is expected to include a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a three-spoke steering wheel and a digital instrument cluster.
5. Skoda Enyaq
The Skoda Enyaq is expected to launch in India tentatively in April, 2024 with prices anticipated to fall between Rs 50lakhs and Rs 55 lakhs, varying based on the chosen variant. Upon arrival, it will compete against the Kia EV6, Hyundai Ioniq 5, Volvo XC40 Recharge, and BMW i4.
