WPL 2024 Points Table: Mumbai Indians regain top spot with seven-wicket win over Royal Challengers Bangalore
Mumbai Indians bounced back in style as they beat Royal Challengers Bangalore by seven wickets in the ninth encounter of the Women’s Premier League 2024 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Saturday.
It was Mumbai’s third win of the tournament and RCB were defeated for the second successive time which derailed their campaign quite a bit after starting on a bright note with two back-to-back wins.
Mumbai Indians who already had two wins to their name had faltered in their third fixture against UP Warriorz who claimed their first win of the tournament.
After MI’s Saturday clash with RCB, the franchise has taken the top spot back in the points table (3 wins, 1 loss) as they took a giant leap from the fourth spot. RCB, who sat second before the clash, now see themselves in the fourth place, having won two and lost alike.
