Motorola Edge 50 Fusion design and specs leak, India launch expected on April 3
The Motorola Edge 50 Fusion is soon expected to launch in India. As the company is gearing up to announce its Motorola Edge 50 Pro smartphone in India on April 3, the Fusion is also expected to be unveiled on the same day.
While there is no official confirmation on the launch of the Edge 50 Fusion, fresh leaks have given an idea of what it will look like. The specs and features have also been leaked online. Here is everything we know so far.
The leaked renders show that the device could be made available in three hues – ballad blue, peacock pink, and tidal teal. Sporting a sleek design, the handset boasts of a typical punch-hole cutout on the front housing the selfie camera. The images, leaked by Android Headlines, also suggest that the upcoming Motorola phone will have minimal bezels around the screen. At the back, we could see a dual camera setup alongside an LED flash.
If leaks are to be believed, the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion could have a curved 6.7-inch pOLED display. Under the hood, the Moto phone is rumoured to pack a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC, paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The dual rear camera setup could include a 50-megapixel primary sensor, complemented by a 13-megapixel secondary shooter. Selfie aficionados, on the other hand, can expect to see a 32-megapixel front-facing camera, as per the leaks.
Beyond its imaging prowess, the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion is said to feature a sizable 5,000mAh battery. The device is also rumoured to come with support for 68W wired fast charging. The company will likely bundle a charger in the retail box because it hasn’t yet stopped offering one with its devices. Furthermore, Motorola is also expected to offer support for the IP68 rating, making the device water and dust-resistant.
It will likely be a successor to the Motorola Edge 30 Fusion that was launched in 2022. The company didn’t announce the Edge 40 Fusion version in 2023 and there are now leaks of the Edge 50 Fusion in 2024. While the Edge 30 Fusion was launched at Rs 42,999 in India, the new version isn’t expected to be this costly. If and when it launches in the country, the device is expected to cost less than the Edge 50 Pro. Do keep in mind that the above-mentioned specs and price expectations are based on leaks. The brand is yet to confirm any of the details.
The Motorola Edge 50 Pro is expected to be priced under Rs 35,000. The company has already launched the Motorola Edge 40 at Rs 26,999 and the Edge 40 Neo is selling online for Rs 22,999. This basically means that the brand already has phones under Rs 25,000 and Rs 30,000 segments. So, it is likely that Motorola is now targeting the Rs 35,000 segment, something that the specs also suggest.
