Attack on Iran’s embassy in Syria, what did Saudi Arabia and Pakistan say?
Syria’s capital Damascus was shaken by air strikes on Monday. The Iranian embassy in Syria was bombed by suspected Israeli war planes, increasing the fear of the already ongoing war spreading in the region. According to experts, this attack by Israel is a big step taken against the increasing threats in the region. According to Tehran’s government statement, seven military advisors including three senior commanders have been killed in this attack. After this attack by Israel, many countries of the world including Saudi Arabia and Pakistan have condemned it.
Saudi Arabia has responded by condemning the attack. The Saudi Foreign Ministry said that this attack is a violation of international diplomatic laws and the rules of diplomatic immunity. Apart from this, Gulf Cooperation Council Journal Secretary Mohammad Al-Budaiwi has also condemned the attack. He said that all countries should follow international laws.
Pakistan has also condemned this attack. It has been said in the statement of Pakistan Foreign Ministry that this attack will further increase the instability already spread in the region. We condemn such attacks taking place inside any country.
“The dead included eight Iranians, two Syrians and one Lebanese,” Syrian official Rami Abdel Rahman told AFP. “All of them are fighters, none of them are civilians.”
Iran’s ambassador to Syria, Hossein Akbari, put the death toll at 5. Hossein told Iranian state TV. “At least five people were killed when F-35 fighter planes fired six missiles at the building.” Apart from this, Israel has already carried out several attacks on Syria. Syria is considered a supporter of Iran; after the start of the Gaza war, anti-Israel activities have been carried out several times by Syria.
