NCERT is going to release new books for these classes, 1.21 crore copies have been printed.
National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) will release new books for classes 3 and 6. According to the notice, NCERT Class 3 books for the academic session 2024-25 will be released by the last week of April, and Class 6 books by mid-May. The education board is preparing these books based on the recommendations of the National Curriculum Framework School Education (NCF-SE) 2024. The council has also uploaded a bridge course for teachers to become familiar with the new books for Class 6, while the guidelines for Class 3 have already been released.

In a post on social media X, NCERT shared information about the books. Where NCERT wrote, ‘Updated news for NCERT! New NCF-SE 2023 compliant books for classes 3 and 6 are coming: Class 3 books will be out by April 2024 and Class 6 books will be out by mid-May 2024. A bridge course for class 6 is on the NCERT portal for teacher preparation. Additionally, 1.21 crore copies of the 2023-2024 editions for various classes have been printed, with more being printed regularly. Buffer stock is ready for classes 4, 5, 9, and 11. Digital copies of all NCERT books are available free of cost on the NCERT portal, Diksha, and ePathshala portal and app. Please share this information with students, teachers, and parents for their benefit!’
1.21 crore copies published for classes 1,2,7,8,10 and 12
According to data shared by NCERT, 1.21 crore copies of the 2023-24 editions of books for classes 1,2,7,8,10, and 12 have already been printed across the country. An additional quantity of books for these classes will be made available regularly. Additionally, the Council has also released a buffer stock of 27.58 lakh books for classes 4,5,9 and 11. According to the new print order, 1.3 crore copies will be issued for these classes by May 31.

Students, teachers, and parents can access these NCERT textbooks in digital format on the NCERT portal. These books can also be downloaded from PM eVidya and National Digital Library, which can be downloaded for free. From here you can download it.
