Nissan GT-R Farewell Special Edition Set for 2025: Here’s What to Expect
In the world of supercars, the iconic Nissan GT-R has been ruling the industry like a boss since 2007. Now, the performance-oriented R35 generation has reached its final destination as the company is set to release the last and special edition in 2025. According to details shared by Japanese publication Mag X, the brand is expected to announce the model on March 14 next year. However, an official statement about it is yet to be shared by the company.
Limited production
The report states that Nissan may restrict the model and will release only 1,500 units globally. Of the total, only 300 units are expected to be made under the Nismo belt. Again! The question is unclear whether these models will be offered only in the Japanese market or will be introduced globally.
performance
Under the hood, the performance car will continue to be powered by the same 3.8-liter, twin-turbocharged, V6 engine. The unit will deliver a maximum output of 557.271 bhp and a peak torque of 632Nm. As far as the Nismo models are concerned, they can see a big jump in power, generating a maximum output of around 591 bhp and an impressive 651Nm of peak torque.
Last year’s major updates
The GT-R received a significant makeover a year ago, with updated bumpers, front fascia and cosmetic updates at the rear. It is hard to say whether the upcoming version will go for a major upgrade or not. In between, some improvements are expected internally and externally.
A replacement model?
Meanwhile, since 2025 is likely to be the last year for the R35 generation, the company may continue the legacy and is expected to launch a successor in the future.
