UPSC 2024 Notification, upsc.gov.in: The Civil Services Preliminary Examination of the Union Public Service Commission will be held on June 16, 2024. UPSC CSE exam was scheduled for May 26, 2024. However due to the Lok Sabha elections 2024, this examination for government jobs was postponed. Union Public Service Commission has allowed aspirants of Manipur to change the UPSC examination center this year.

Union Public Service Commission has decided to give a big chance to the UPSC candidates of Manipur. According to the new notification updated on the UPSC website upsc.gov.in, those UPSC candidates who had chosen Imphal as the examination center can now change it. Candidates having Imphal exam center can choose any one exam center out of 80 other exam centers through UPSC website upsc.gov.in.

Candidates of Manipur can change the examination center on upsc.gov.in till April 19, 2024. After this, they will not be given the facility to change the UPSC exam center. For your information, Manipur state has been in the grip of violence for the last year. In this situation, the state government can’t organize such a large level of competitive examination there. Also, candidates may face difficulty in reaching the UPSC exam center 2024.
UPSC Exam Center Guidelines: How can the UPSC exam center be changed?
The Commission told the Delhi High Court that those UPSC CSE candidates from the hilly districts of Manipur who had opted for Imphal would be allowed to change the center. The state government will also provide travel facilities to these candidates. Along with upsc.gov.in, candidates can also change the examination center by calling the toll free number or emailing uscp-upsc@nic.in. UPSC will allot the selected center to the candidates and send a confirmation message to their registered mobile number.
