Google Pixel 8a could launch in May 2024 with almost 5,000 mAh battery
Google Pixel 8a has been tipped to arrive with a bigger battery compared to its predecessor. The phone was spotted by MSP on a UL Demko certification listing, sporting a 4,942 mAh battery.
This capacity could easily be advertised as 5,000 mAh when the device makes an official debut.
Following the I/O tradition, Google is expected to launch the Pixel 8a smartphone in May 2024 at its annual developer conference in Mountain View, California. Google has yet to acknowledge the upcoming launch, but it did not stop leaks and rumours regarding the smartphone from circulating online.
The Google phone on the certification listing dons a model number GH2MB. Since this bears similarities to the Pixel 7’s GHL1X model number, the phone in question is believed to be the Pixel 8a. In addition to a bigger battery, the new device could feature other improvements as well.
The Pixel 8a is rumoured to carry the same design language as the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro with slightly rounded corners and a flat form factor. It could also come with an upgraded chipset.
