Breaking: Ishan Kishan Sparks Controversy with Bold Move, Ignores BCCI Rule in Shocking Ranji Trophy
India’s wicket-keeper batsman Ishan Kishan has been making headlines lately for opting out of the Ranji Trophy to focus on personal training ahead of the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) season.
Ishan, who has been absent from the Indian squad since pulling out of the South Africa tour due to mental fatigue, continues to refrain from cricketing obligations despite encouragement from head coach Rahul Dravid and other officials in the BCCI to return to the field.
Ishan received instructions from the BCCI management to participate in Jharkhand’s final Ranji Trophy Elite Group match against Rajasthan, commencing on February 16. However, the wicket-keeper batsman opted to skip this match. Similarly, pace bowler Deepak Chahar, who has also been absent from cricketing activities for some time, chose to disregard his Ranji Trophy commitments.
Recent reports indicated that Ishan Kishan has been training alongside Hardik and Krunal Pandya at the Reliance Stadium. Multiple reports have suggested that the BCCI is displeased with Ishan’s approach and has directed him to return to domestic cricket and rejoin Jharkhand’s Ranji Trophy squad. However, when Jharkhand announced their playing XI for the match against Rajasthan, Ishan’s name was notably absent.
