Delhi school student, 2 friends stab Class 11 schoolmate to death in Neb Sarai
In a shocking incident, three teenagers killed a class 11 student in Delhi, police said on Saturday. The three accused, all juveniles, stabbed the student for allegedly harassing one of them.
The incident took place in Neb Sarai area of south Delhi. Rohan, victim, was found with multiple stab wounds on his body in Neb Sarai on Thursday. He was rushed to Safdarjung Hospital, but he died during treatment, according to police.
All accused detained
All three minor boys, including a class 10 student, have been apprehended in connection with the incident. Two knives allegedly used by them have also been recovered, they said. The attackers were identified and subsequently held on Friday after police scanned the CCTV footage collected from the vicinity of the crime spot.
‘Wanted to take revenge for harassment’
During interrogation, one of the accused told police that he and Rohan studied in the same school, a police officer said. The accused also alleged that Rohan used to harass him at school so he decided to take revenge along with his two friends. The three called Rohan from his house and attacked him with knives, the officer said, news agency PTI reported.
The incident comes days after two boys allegedly shot at a 26-year-old teacher in Greater Noida in Uttar Pradesh. The incident took place near Sushil Modern School in Sakipur, police officials said. The teacher, identified as Rakib Hussain, was shot at by the two teenagers over some personal dispute.
