According to Hindy religious scriptures, whenever unrighteousness and suffering has increased in this world, Lord Vishnu has incarnated to establish the rule of religion and righteousness.

This belief is behind the mention of as many as 24 incarnations of Lord Vishnu in the religious scriptures. Out of these incarnations the Kalki incarnation is the 10th incarnation of Lord Vishnu, which is yet to take place. It is believed that Kaliyuga which we are passing through currently will end when the Kalki incarnation of Lord Vishnu takes place.

When will Kalki be incarnated?
According to religious texts, Kaliyuga started around 3102 BC. Right now, the world is passing through the first phase of Kaliyuga. According to the Puranas, Kaliyuga will last for 4 lakh 32 thousand years. Out of which 3102+2024=5126 years of Kaliyuga have passed and 426875 years are still left. According to religious scriptures, Kalki incarnation will be the end of Kaliyuga. That means there are still about 426875 years left for Lord Vishnu to be incarnated as Kalki. Lord Kalki will incarnate at the end of Kaliyuga and the confluence of Satyayuga.

According to the 24th verse of the 12th Skanda of Shrimad Bhagwat Purana, when Jupiter, Sun and Moon together enter Pushya Nakshatra, that is the time when Lord Kalki will incarnate in this world. Based on these calculations, Lord Kalki will be born on the fifth day of Shuklapaksha of Saavan month. Therefore, every year Kalki Jayanti is celebrated on Sawan Shukla Panchami.

Where will Kalki be incarnate?
According to the Puranas, at the end of Kaliyuga, Lord Vishnu will incarnate in the form of Kalki and destroy the sinners from the earth and then reestablish the rule of religion and righteousness and wave the flag of religion.
