Brydon Carse Faces Three-Month Ban After Involvement in Cricket Betting
England fast bowler Brydon Carrs has been banned from all forms of cricket for 3 months after being found guilty of breaching cricket betting and gambling rules. The ban means Carr’s chances of making his Test debut for England during the summer are now slim. Carrs was in contention for a place in the squad for the West Indies series.
It is believed that Kars did not play any of the matches he had bet on. The matches that the pacer gambled on happened more than 5 years ago. The pacer is said to have placed 303 bets on various matches between 2017 and 2019. Kars was also given a suspended ban of 13 months for 2 years. The ban on cars will last from May 28 to August 28. The ECB released a statement on Carrs and said they support the cricket regulator’s decision to ban Carrs. The board also said that they are satisfied with the growth shown by the fast bowler in the last 5 years.
