NEET UG 2024 Result: Can the cutoff of NEET UG increase, when will the result be released?

NEET UG 2024 Result: National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the provisional answer key of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Under Graduate (NEET-UG). With this, it is expected that the result will be released soon. NTA will also release the cut-off marks along with the NEET UG result. Last year, the NEET UG cut-off percentage for the general category was 50 for MBBS and BDS candidates and 40 for OBC, SC, and ST candidates.

NTA will determine the NEET UG percentage based on the highest marks obtained in the All India Common Merit List for NEET UG 2024. There will be a slight drop in the cut-off in all categories of NEET UG. The cut-off of the general category can be around 720-130, and the cut-off of the SC category can be around 129-108. At the same time, the cut-off of the ST category can be 128-106 and the cut-off of the OBC category can be 130-108. The cut-off of the general category was 720-137 in the year 2023 and 715-117 in the year 2022. Similarly, the cut-off for SC, ST, and OBC candidates increased from 116-93 in the year 2022 to 136-107 in the year 2023.

More than 24 lakh candidates appeared in the NEET UG 2024 exam this year. The exam was conducted on May 5. Its answer key was released on May 29 and medical candidates were given time till May 31 to raise objections against the provisional NEET UG answer key. According to media reports, the final answer key and result of NEET UG are expected to come in the second or third week of June. Last year, the NEET UG answer key was released on June 4 and the results were declared on June 13.
