Rajinikanth Jets Off For Delhi To Grace Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 3rd Oath Taking Ceremony; Calls it ‘Historic Event’
Superstar Rajinikanth is all set to attend the swearing-in ceremony of Prime Minister Modi in Delhi. To mark his presence, the actor departed from Chennai airport on Sunday. As South’s Thalaiva was spotted at the airport, he expressed his admiration for Modi’s consecutive third term as Prime Minister.
Talking to the media, Rajinikanth said, “Narendra Modi will be sworn in as PM consecutively for the third time. This is a very big achievement. My wishes to him. People have also elected a strong opposition in this Parliament election. It will lead to a healthy democracy. I received an invitation to Chandrababu Naidu’s swearing-in ceremony as Andhra Pradesh CM. I will update you about going there.”
He also said, “I am going to take part in the swearing-in ceremony… It is a very historic event… Assuming office for the third consecutive term is Narendra Modi’s big achievement, my hearty greetings to him. People have elected a robust opposition which is a healthy sign for democracy.”

Rajinikanth also extended congratulations to Naam Thamizhar Katchi (NTK) coordinator Seeman for securing a significant vote share in the election. Modi is set to take the oath as Prime Minister of the nation for the third consecutive term today at 7:15 PM. He is the sole leader since former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru to win a third consecutive term after serving the full duration of each preceding term.
Further, as per officials, over 8,000 guests, including various professionals and cultural performers, will mark their presence at the event. The guest list has been kept concise due to the upcoming G7 meeting in Italy, for which Modi will depart later this week, as reported by ANI, citing sources. Following the ceremony, President Droupadi Murmu will host a banquet for the dignitaries at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
