NEET UG Retest: 1,563 Candidates To Appear At 7 Centres; Check Dress Code, Reporting Time, Prohibited Items
NEET UG Retest 2024 Guidelines: The National Testing Agency(NTA) will conduct the NEET-UG retest for 1,563 candidates tomorrow, June 23, 2024. It is to be noted that the retest for the medical entrance exam is being conducted after the agency withdrew grace marks awarded to students who were compensated for the loss of time due to delay in the start of the examination at six exam centres in Meghalaya, Haryana, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, and Chandigarh. The retest will be held at seven centres — six being new — on Sunday.
“While all other examination centres have changed, the one in Chandigarh, where only two candidates will appear, will remain the same,” the senior NTA official was quoted as saying to the news agency PTI. “Besides, officials from the agency and the Union education ministry will also be present at these centres. The step has been taken to ensure smooth conduct of the re-exam,” the official added, PTI reported. NEET Re-Test Admit Card
The NTA will re-conduct the NEET UG examination in 6 cities on June 23, 2024, from 02:00 PM to 05:20 PM. The candidates are advised to download their respective Admit Cards from exams.nta.ac.in/NEET/ by using their respective application number and date of birth.
NEET Dress Code
Heavy clothes and/or long sleeves are not permitted. However, in case, candidates come in cultural/ customary dress at the Examination Centre, they should report at least an hour before the last reporting time i.e. 12.30 pm so that there is enough time for proper frisking without any inconvenience to the candidate while maintaining the sanctity of the examination.
Slippers, sandals with low heels are permitted. Shoes are not permitted.
In case of any deviation required due to unavoidable (medical, etc.) circumstances, specific approval of NTA must be taken before the Admit Cards are issued.
NEET: Documents to Carry to the Exam Centre
The candidate will bring only the following to the Examination Centre:
Admit Card along with passport size photograph affixed on it;
One passport-size photograph is to be affixed on Attendance Sheet.
Valid Original Identity proof, PwBD certificate, if applicable.
One Post Card Size (4”X6”) color photograph with white background should be pasted on the Proforma downloaded with the Admit Card and should be handed over to Invigilator at Centre.
NEET Reporting Time
The candidates wearing articles or objects of faith (customary/ cultural/ religious) should report at the examination centre atleast two hours before the last reporting time so that there is enough time for proper frisking without any inconvenience to the candidate while maintaining the sanctity of the examination.
Candidates must not to carry Instruments, Geometry or Pencil box, Handbag, Purse, any kind of Paper/ Stationery/ Textual material (printed or written material), Eatables and Water (loose or packed), Mobile Phone/ Earphone/
Microphone/ Pager, Calculator, DocuPen, Slide Rules, Log Tables, Camera, Tape Recorder, Electronic Watches with facilities of calculator, any metallic item or electronic gadgets/ devices in the Examination Hall/Room.
