Adani Ambani To Dominate E-Commerce Space? Reliance To Launch Quick Commerce Services, Adani To Enter In E-Commerce & UPI

Reliance Industries is going to launch a quick commerce service through its JioMart and compete with Blinkit, BigBasket, Instamart, and Zepto. JioMart is planning to deliver groceries in 30 minutes across 1,000 cities, according to the TOI report.
JioMart will first deliver groceries in at least 7–8 cities and eventually scale up the service to cover over  1000 Cities, claimed the report.
Adani To Enter In E-Commerce, UPI Space
According to a report in the Financial Times, the Adani group is planning to enter the digital business to compete with Google and Mukesh Ambani led Reliance Industries. The group has an already strong fit in the infrastructure and logistics network of ports, airports and power. 
With the help of its other business prominence in the country, Gautam Adani-led Adani Group is reportedly looking to enter into ecommerce and digital payments business.
According to the report, Adani Group is going to apply for a licence to operate on India’s public digital payments network, Unified Payments Interface (UPI), and also finalising a previously-announced co-branded credit card.
Adani In E-Commerce Business
Gautam Adani-led company is also planning to operate in the online shopping business through government-backed Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC). The company had launched a consumer app, Adani One in 2022. If these developments are finalized, the services would be available on the app.
According to the report, the company will target its existing users on its businesses like gas and electricity & travellers at its airports. Users will also receive loyalty points through bill payments or duty-free purchases and use them for online shopping.
