AFG Vs NZ 2024, Greater Noida One-Off Test Day 2 LIVE Updates: Toss Delayed, Next Inspection At 12pm IST

Afghanistan and New Zealand will hope for a better outcome on Day 2 of their one-off Test at the Shaheed Vijay Singh Pathik Stadium in Greater Noida on Tuesday (September 10) after the opening day’s play was washed out without a ball getting bowled due to wet outfield at the venue. The match officials have decided that the toss for the match will take place at 9am IST on the second day, so that play can begin half an hour early.
The remaining four days of the Test match will witness 98 overs in a day, weather permitting. Umpires Kumar Dharmasena and Sharfuddoula feel player safety is the biggest concern at the moment after Afghanistan opener Ibrahim Zadran had sprained his left leg on the wet outfield and was ruled out of the Test match.
There were multiple inspections on Day 1 of the one-off Test on Monday but umpires were unhappy with patches of wet areas in the outfield.
