Ajith Kumar underwent medical procedure to treat nerve swelling, confirms publicist; dismisses brain surgery rumours

Amid rumours that Tamil star Ajith Kumar, fondly referred to as Thala, recently underwent brain surgery, a new report has surfaced stating that the actor did indeed undergo a medical procedure, but it wasn’t brain surgery.
Thala recently underwent a medical procedure to treat a swelling in the nerve connecting his ear to the brain, Zoom reported quoting Ajith’s publicist and spokesperson Suresh Chandra.

According to the report, he is doing well and is expected to be discharged from the hospital, either on Friday night or Saturday.
“On Thursday, Ajith sir got admitted to a hospital for a general examination. Then, the doctors there decided to treat an undue swelling in the nerve connecting his ear to the brain. They did it through a simple medical procedure. Ajith is now fine and he walked back to his ward from the ICU,” Chandra told Zoom.

“I repeat the fact that he walked back to his ward because he is perfectly fine and that he is likely to be discharged either tonight or tomorrow,” he added, as rumours were rife that a cyst was removed from the actor’s brain through surgery.
