Apni boat pe brake lagao’ sharks Aman Gupta & Amit Jain get into an argument over a deal

The latest episode of Shark Tank India 3 saw pitchers Shreya Bansal and Prateek Kedia pitching their yoga mat brand asking for Rs 60 lakh investment for 2 per cent equity.

Sharks were highly impressed by the pitchers and their brand as the pitcher stated, “Humein jitni marketing mile utna kam hai. The more we market the sooner our product scales.

We are self-taught, and we don’t have any mentor to guide us so we would want to learn from you all and understand your secret sauce to success. We had decided that till we don’t cross Rs 1cr revenue per month, we won’t bring in any external party. So after doing the gross, this is the first time we are talking to any investor formally for funding.”

After getting to know about their revenue and business model, Anupam Mittal and Namita Thapar offered them a deal while Amit Jain had a few more queries which led to Aman Gupta interrupting him by saying, “There is no need for technology here.”

Amit Jain hit back saying, “Jisko samajh mein nahi aati technology woh aise hi bolte hai (Those who don’t understand technology say stuff like this).”

Aman then retorted, “I have a good tech brand bros.” Amit clapped back, “We wonder how, apni boat pe brake lagao (Apply brakes to your boat).” Leaving other sharks like Namita and Anupam in splits.

Just like the previous two seasons, Shark Tank India 3 is a resounding success. This time the show featured 12 sharks – 6 from the previous season – Aman Gupta, Anupam Mittal, Namita Thapar, Peyush Bansal, Vineeta Singh and Amit Jain.

And 6 new entrants Ronnie Screwvala, Ritesh Agarwal, Azhar Iqubal, Radhika Gupta, Varun Dua and Deepinder Goyal.

The massive success of Shark Tank India has seen multiple clones airing on Indian OTT with little to no success.

Some of these shows are Indian Angels streaming on JioCinema and Mission Start Ab streaming on Prime Video.
