CEO Tim Cook was present at Apple’s Fifth Avenue store in New York City to mark the availability of the device offline. For the unaware, the device costs $3,499. Amid these affairs, the video that is gaining vogue online is of the first buyer of the Vision Pro, who gets a special welcome from the Apple staff.

Tim Cook also shared his thoughts on X (formerly Twitter). “What a thrilling morning celebrating the launch of Apple Vision Pro at Apple Fifth Avenue! The era of spatial computing has arrived,” Cook posted. “Seeing people’s reactions to trying Apple Vision Pro for the first time today was wonderful. Some people had tears in their eyes! Our mission is to enrich people’s lives, and I could feel that happening in real-time. What a day!”
According to a CNN report, about 200 people were lined up at the New York City Flagship store. The Apple Vision Pro ships with Micro OLED 4K 100Hz displays with 23 million pixels. It gets an M2 and R1 chip for performance. The headset runs on visionOS. It can last for up to two hours of playback time with the battery pack.
