The much awaited Audi Q6 e-Tron has finally broken covers. An all-electric equivalent to the Q5, the Q6 e-Tron is the first production model from Audi to be built on the Premium Platform Electric (PPE).

It will be available in both the standard Q6 e-Tron and the coupe Q6 e-Tron Sportback derivatives.

The Q6 e-Tron is slated to go on sale in the United Kingdom next month onwards and it will be priced at £ 68,975 (approx. Rs 72.50 lakh) and £ 92,950 (approx. Rs 98 lakh) for the standard and Sportback models, respectively. The battery-powered SUV is expected to make it to India sometime next year as a fully-imported CBU model priced at over Rs 1.50 crore (ex-showroom).

Audi Q6 e-Tron: Powertrain specs

The Q6 e-Tron shares its DNA with the Porsche Macan EV, also underpinned by the same PPE architecture. As a result, it boasts of a massive 100 kWh battery that claims a peak range of 613 km (WLTP) on a single charge. The standard Q6 e-tron is powered by a motor that puts out 382 bhp and can sprint from 0 to 100 kmph in 5.9 seconds. It can clock a top speed of 209 kmph.

On the other hand, the Sportback variant gets a more powerful motor generating 510 bhp and clocking a top speed of 229 kmph. It can hurl itself to 100 kmph from a standstill in just 4.3 with the aid of launch control. Both versions of the Q6 e-Tron come equipped with Audi’s Quattro all-wheel drive technology which means a dual-motor setup.

Audi says the 800V PPE architecture can support DC fast charging up to 270 kW which rejuvenates the battery from 10 to 80 percent in just 21 minutes. The 800-volt battery is automatically divided into two batteries at equal voltage, which can then be charged in parallel with up to 150 kW.
