Baking Cookies? Here Are 5 Tips To Perfect Your Next Batch
There’s nothing more therapeutic than baking. It’s just mind-blowing how mixing flour, sugar, and butter together, with some patience of waiting to hear the oven’s bell, can turn into something so delicious.
And when you just add some or the other twist like jam, chocolate, caramel, coconut, etc, it just adds up to making a palate happy.
But only bakers know it’s not as magical as it sounds. If not measured the ingredients properly, forgetting to set the right temperature, putting the icing on before time, and the list of things that could go wrong can go on and on. So, if you’re a beginner or a seasoned baker, here are a few tips to get the perfect batch of cookies.
As you would already know, mismatching the measurements can turn the whole baking process into a fiasco. So, while reading the recipe, take note that all the measurements are of the same units.
Be very mindful if it says tablespoons or teaspoons. Also, while measuring, dust off the extra ingredients and fill a cup or a spoon to eye level.
One of the most important things to do while baking is to do it without stress. So, chill! And let the cookie dough chill for some time as well. Letting the dough set and cool for a few hours can level up your cookie game.
So, after your batter is ready, make small balls out of the dough, lay them in a tray, and cover with a clear film. Refrigerate for a few hours to prevent the cookies from falling apart after they are baked.
