Bigg Boss Kannada Contestant Sonu Srinivas Gowda Arrested | Deets Inside
Social media influencer and former Bigg Boss Kannada contestant Sonu Srinivas Gowda was arrested for purportedly failing to adhere to proper procedures during the adoption of a girl child, as stated by the police.
The arrest came following a complaint lodged by an official from the Child Welfare Committee, alleging that the individual had shared reels on her social media platform featuring the eight-year-old child adopted from Raichur.
According to PTI, “Based on the complaint received, we have arrested Gowda and further investigation is underway,” a senior police officer said.
Days after facing online trolling for announcing the adoption of an 8-year-old child from North Karnataka, she was arrested. Authorities responded to a complaint from the Child Protection Office, alleging that Sonu’s adoption was a strategy to garner undue sympathy and celebrity status. Consequently, the Byadarahalli police filed a case against her, resulting in her arrest.
Sonu Srinivas Gowda, according to ETimes, maintains her innocence, affirming that she adhered to the correct procedures during the adoption process. Expressing bewilderment over her arrest, she noted that it had only been 15 days since she welcomed the child into her home. Currently, officials from the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) are interrogating Sonu, seeking clarification regarding the adoption process and her motives. Authorities emphasise their commitment to not apprehend individuals who are innocent.
In a prior video, Sonu announced the adoption and disclosed details about the process, even sharing a recorded phone call with the child’s parents. Nonetheless, authorities contend that she lacked essential information and transparency in the adoption procedure.
