Bopara, Little too much for Warriors as Knight Riders close in on playoff berth

After Little ripped through the middle-order, Bopara wiped out the tail with a four-wicket haul as Knight Riders skittled out Warriors for a paltry 75.

Openers Joe Clarke and Michael Pepper added 54 runs for the first wicket and titled the game in their team’s favour as Knight Riders chased down the target for the loss three wickets with 9.5 overs to spare.

With the victory, Knight Riders inched closer to qualify for the playoffs. They procured 10 points with five wins from their eight games.

UAE pacer Muhammad Jawadullah picked up three wickets for Warriors. He accounted for the dismissals of Clarke, Pepper and Alishan Sharafu.

Warriors were a bit unlucky as Pepper got a reprieve when batting on one. He was clean bowled by Junaid Siddique but the umpire called it a no-ball.

Both the openers capitalised on the chance and took the score to 54 in five overs. Clarke hit a 25-ball 34 with the help of six fours while Pepper scored 18 off 16 balls.
