Bren Garage gets India’s first Ferrari Purosangue
Well-known celebrities own exotic cars, but how about becoming a celebrity because of owning exotic cars? Well, most automotive enthusiasts know Bengaluru-based Boopesh Reddy, the real estate tycoon who owns some exotic wheels.
His latest addition is the Ferrari Purosangue, the first one in India.
For those wondering, the Ferrari Purosangue is the Italian carmaker’s first SUV, targeted primarily at the Lamborghini Urus. The SUV with the prancing horse logo was launched in 2022 and the Bengaluru-based car collector became the first-ever man in India to own one.
The Ferrari Purosangue is powered by a 6.5-litre V12 making 715bhp and 716Nm of torque, with the help of an 8-speed DCT gearbox. The Ferrari Purosangue also makes use of a 2-speed gearbox for the front, essentially drawing power for all four wheels from the engine, enough to reach 100kmph from a standstill in 3.3 seconds, while achieving a top speed of over 310kmph.
The Purosangue owned by Boopesh Reddy is finished in black with contrasting red callipers and a dual-tone interior. The latest Ferrari joins other models owned by Reddy, which include a Ferrari F430, a 458 Speciale, a 488 Pista, an SF90, and an 812 Competizione.
