Cadillac Lyriq Luxury EV Unveiled In France, Opens Gates For GM In Europe
The US based automaker, General Motors, is expanding its presence in Europe after it returned last year. Now the brand has given Europeans the opportunity to own an American SUV that has zero emissions.
It comes in the form of the brand’s luxury electric vehicle, Cadillac Lyriq unveiled in France. This is a significant breakthrough for the American automaker as it will open gates to other unexplored markets. Before the official unveiling, the brand has been exploring opportunities in Europe since last year.
GM had plans to step into the European market when it announced that it was planning its all-electric return to Europe Switzerland. The process officially started in 2017 after it sold Opel and Vauxhall brands.
Cadillac has a strong dealer network in the US, whereas, in the European market, the brand has created an online presence where customers can directly place an order for a customized EV online.
Additionally, the brand is currently planning to open a showroom in Paris, and starting from March 23, the Lyriq will be available for online orders. The company is also planning to launch the EV in other European countries soon, with Germany being the next in line by the end of this year.
