CBSE Class 10 Science Preparation Tips! Score Better With These Last Minute Expert Advice
With the CBSE Class 10 exam knocking on the door, students are busy with their last-minute preparation. The Telegraph Online Edugraph got in touch with experts to help students in their run-up to the examination.
We spoke with educator Reshma Roy from BDM International School, Kolkata who has imparted several suggestions for the students to help them secure good marks easily.
The Science paper consists of five sections. Section A consists of 20 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). Section B contains six questions of two marks each. Section C on the other hand consists of seven questions of three marks each.
Both Sections D and E contain three questions each. While each question of Section D carries five marks, the three questions of Section E contain four marks each.
Teacher Reshma Roy has advised the students to answer questions based on their understanding. She said that if students have adequate understanding of the subject, they can easily score good marks.
“The marking scheme is designed to give maximum advantage to the students. Most answers require short and to-the-point answers. If you are confident about your answer, do not unnecessarily lengthen it which might alter the meaning of the answer,” she said.
“I would suggest students to go sequentially with the questions. If you do not know an answer or think it might take time, leave some space and go ahead with the next answer. This gives you two advantages. One you don’t skip any answer by mistake, secondly you do not lose out on time while solving a difficult question,” she advised students.
Teacher Reshma also talks about the different approaches to be made by the students for the three different science subjects, i.e. Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
