Chandu Champion: Kartik Aaryan Reveals Murlikant Petkar Got Teary-Eyed After Watching the Biopic: ‘Tumne Mujhe Rula…’

Kartik Aaryan is gearing up for the release of his highly anticipated film Chandu Champion. The film is just a week away from hitting the big screens, and the team is currently busy promoting the movie. Chandu Champion is based on the life of India’s first Paralympic gold medallist, Murlikant Petkar. Talking about Murlikant, Kartik Aaryan, in a Zoom interview, disclosed that Murlikant gave a heartwarming speech after watching the film.
Kartik said that Murlikant had tears in his eyes when he told him, “tumne mujhe rula diya” (You made me cry). The actor added that the screening was an emotional experience, leaving everyone at a loss for words. He expressed his hope that the film would evoke similar emotions in the audience. “It is a film all of us are really proud of, and it is a story everybody should know,” he concluded.
The director of the film, Kabir Khan, also recalled that the film was screened for the army officers, and all of them were left speechless after watching it. “They told us that they wanted to organize a screening for the Army Chief and felicitate Murlikant Sir.”
The filmmaker disclosed that the initial public screening was attended by all the soldiers and jawans, and Murlikant planned to watch the film with them once more. “We could only see what he was going through to realize the impact the film was having on him. It was an emotional upheaval for him, very overwhelming. He will be watching the film with us once again, and it will take some time for it to all sink in for him,” he said.
