Half ticket for children aged 5 to 12 years
According to the rules of Indian Railways, if your child is between 5 to 12 years of age then you can buy half a ticket for them. This means you have to pay half the ticket price. However, there is a provision that the child will not be allotted a seat. You have to adjust to them in your seat. If you would like a child to have a seat, you must purchase a full ticket for them.
