Chowkidar Bharti 2024: If you are looking for a government job after passing 10th class, then there is good news for you. Chowkidar recruitment has come out for high school passes. Jharkhand’s notification for recruitment to the post of Rural Chowkidar has been issued by the Deputy Commissioner cum District Magistrate Office of Jamtara in compliance with the Home, Jail and Disaster Management Department of Jharkhand. Under this, there will be recruitment for 343 vacant posts in Rural Chowkidar in Jamtara district. There are 139 vacancies for unreserved category candidates and 170 vacancies for Scheduled Tribe category candidates.

Application for the post of Rural Chowkidar has to be done in offline mode. This means the filled application form along with an educational certificate, permanent residence, caste certificate, and work experience certificate has to be sealed in an envelope and submitted to the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Collectorate, Jamtara. The last date for submission of application form is 30 July 2024.

Educational Qualification
For the post of Rural Chowkidar, candidates should be 10th pass from a recognized school of Jharkhand. Also, it is important to know local customs, language, and environment. The minimum age of the candidates for this post should be 18 years. The maximum age is 35 years for unreserved category candidates and 40 years for Scheduled Tribe category candidates. Apart from this, the candidates should be residents of the respective beat area. Candidates should also know how to ride a bicycle. Appointment to the post of Chowkidar will be at the district level.

Salary of Rural Chowkidar
The pay scale of the rural watchman will be pay band 15200-20200 rupees and grade pay 1800 rupees.

Selection process for the post of Rural Chowkidar
The selection for the post of Rural Chowkidar will be after a written examination and physical standard test. The written examination will be of 50 marks. Questions related to general knowledge, the local language, Hindi, English, Sanskrit, and tribal language will be asked. To pass the written examination, it will be necessary to get 30 percent marks.

Physical Measurements
General category candidates should have a minimum height of 160 cm and SC/ST candidates should have a minimum height of 155 cm. The minimum height for female candidates is 148 cm.

Physical Test – All candidates (both men and women) will have to run 1 mile. 20 marks will be awarded for completing a mile in five minutes or less and 10 marks for completing a mile in five minutes or up to six minutes.
