Cyclone Fengal live: Cyclone’s effect intensifies on Tamil Nadu’s shore, to make landfall in few hours

Cyclone Fengal is about to make landfall on the coast of Tamil Nadu. The capital, Chennai, and other parts of the state have received heavy rainfall. People witnessed waterlogging on Poonamallee High Road (EVR Periyar Salai) near the Egmore area of Chennai as Cyclone Fengal intensified.

The authorities have advised the public to not visit beaches in Puducherry as well as in Tamil Nadu’s Chennai, including Marina Beach, Pattinapakkam and Edward Elliot Beach. The tourist spots in Puducherry have been closed as a precautionary measure, owing to the impending cyclone Fengal.
