In some areas of the north of Rajasthan, the south of Haryana, the north of Madhya Pradesh, and the southeast Madhya Pradesh, despite a slight dip, the temperature still climbed fiercely to a searing 43-45 degrees Celsius. Meanwhile, places like Punjab, the remaining regions of Haryana, Delhi, the southern part of Rajasthan, sections of western Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha, Telangana, and the southern interior of Odisha were not spared from the heat, with temperatures hovering between 41-43 degrees Celsius.
Weather Update: IMD Update
IMD predicted thunderstorms with a bit of rain in the capital on the 3rd and 4th of June. They’re estimating the mercury to fall no lower than 30 degrees Celsius and climb no higher than 45 degrees Celsius on both these days. We’re in for some temperamental weather!
In our neighboring state, Rajasthan, a scattering of regions were touched by a mild rain shower and the rumble of thunderstorms. It seems the weather bureau anticipates further light to moderate showers to grace areas like Bikaner, Jaipur, Bharatpur, Ajmer, and Jodhpur. Radheshyam Sharma, the man heading the Jaipur Weather Bureau, hinted at a likely dip in the mercury, below 45 degrees Celsius in the near future that would come as a respite during the present heatwave. Elsewhere, Fatehpur in Uttar Pradesh hit the country’s temperature record high, marking a sweltering 46.2 degrees Celsius.
Rain Prediction And Monsoon Update
The latest from the Indian Meteorological Department reports that the eagerly awaited Southwest Monsoon has finally made its presence known in parts of Kerala, Tamil Nadu, some regions of Karnataka, Rayalaseema, Andhra Pradesh, and the Lakshadweep area. Given the favorable weather conditions, it’s probable that Rayalaseema and Coastal Andhra Pradesh are set to join the list in the coming three days.
