The condition of Mumbai in Maharashtra is such that the state government has issued an advisory and instructed people to stay indoors. At the same time, now a big decision has been taken given the interests of the children. Orders have been issued to keep all schools closed in Mumbai.
A holiday has been declared in the schools of Navi Mumbai tomorrow i.e. 09 July. Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation has declared a holiday in all the schools falling under its limits on 9 July. As per the order of the NMMC Education Department, all government and private schools will remain closed. Andheri subway has been temporarily closed due to waterlogging caused by continuous heavy rains in Mumbai. Traffic has been diverted to Swami Vivekanand Road. Apart from Navi Mumbai, schools have also been closed for tomorrow in Thane and Pune.
Rivers reach near the danger mark
Meanwhile, Thane’s Superintendent Engineer said, that after heavy rains in the last 24 hours, Kundalika river in Raigad and Kalu river in Thane have reached close to the danger mark. The warning level of the Kundalika river is 23 meters and till today (8 pm) it is flowing at 22.5 meters. The warning level of Kalu River is 102 meters and right now it is flowing at 101.1 meters.
