Elvish Yadav case: Police arrest 2 more in Noida rave party bust linked to Bigg Boss OTT winner

As the investigation into the alleged rave parties hosted by Bigg Boss OTT winner Elvish Yadav continues, Noida Police has made two more arrests in connection with the smuggling of snakes and their poison.

The newly apprehended suspects, identified as Ishwar and Vinay, are part of the widening probe following Yadav’s initial arrest. With seven individuals now in custody, including Yadav, the police are poised to send notices to prominent figures linked to the case.

Yadav, facing charges under the Wildlife Act for his role in procuring snake venom for the parties, had initially denied involvement but has since confessed to arranging the venom at the events. The scandal revolves around the purported use of snake venom as a recreational substance at rave gatherings in Noida last year, with Yadav allegedly facilitating its distribution and using live snakes in his video content.

The police’s crackdown on a snake smuggling ring last November, discovered during a raid on a Noida banquet hall, led to the arrest of five individuals, including snake charmers, involved in supplying venom. The recovery of nine snakes, including cobras and other venomous species, coupled with forensic findings confirming the presence of cobra and krait venom in samples, bolstered the case against those implicated.

The arrests in the case were made possible through a joint effort involving an NGO, People For Animals, whose member Gaurav Gupta’s complaint prompted the police to set up a sting operation targeting Yadav’s associates. Former Union minister Maneka Gandhi had also raised concerns about Yadav’s alleged illegal trade in snake venom, advocating for his prompt apprehension.
