Exams 2024: Will those who voted in the Lok Sabha elections not be able to appear for CUET UG and NEET UG exams? Know what NTA said…
NEET, CUET Exams 2024: CUET UG and NEET UG are to be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) in May. During this time, voting is also to be held for the 18th Lok Sabha elections. It is going viral on social media platforms that the candidates who will vote in the Lok Sabha elections will not be able to appear for examinations like NEET-UG and CUET-UG. It is being said that due to the ink on the finger after voting, one will be barred from taking the exam. You may have also received this message or read it on Facebook and X. But the question is how much truth is there in this?
The National Testing Agency, the organization that conducts NEET and CUET examinations, has issued a notice regarding this. NTA has issued a notice stating whether the examination can be given if voting ink gets on the finger or not.
NTA did not issue such guidelines
NTA has written in its notice that the agency has found that in a message viral on social media, it is being claimed that people can help in the Lok Sabha elections but due to the presence of ink, they will be stopped from entering the exam hall. This message is completely baseless. NTA has not issued any such instruction/guideline. Students are requested to ignore such rumors and exercise their right to vote. Voting will not affect their eligibility to take the examination.
