Exploring The Divine, A Journey Into The Different Concepts Of God
Most of us pray, but we don’t know to whom we pray and what we say when we pray. We grow up in a religion, a faith. We have a personal God and we believe the lie that God lives in the sky.
We keep asking God for favours. Some of us go to God so that our problems can be solved. Others go to God because we want our dreams to come true. Unfortunately, we have not truly understood the meaning of God. Who or what is God? What is the truth? Are there many Gods, as many Gods as there are religions? No, God is not who we think God is. God is not a person or a saint. God is SIP, a Supreme Immortal Power.
Religion begins our journey to God, but then it makes us go round and round in the merry-go-round called life. And we suffer because we do not realize that God is not somebody with a name and a form. God is not born. God never dies. God is birthless and deathless; beginningless and endless; nameless and formless.
All religions are good because they introduce God to us. But if one wants to go on a Divine journey, then one has to go beyond just believing in and praying to God. One has to evolve from faith, hope, trust, belief and enthusiasm, into loving God. We need deep, intense love and longing for the Divine.
