French carmaker Citroen to supply 4,000 electric SUVs for BluSmart’s expanding EV fleet
French automobile manufacturer Citroën formed a strategic partnership with homegrown electric ride-hailing and EV charging service provider BluSmart Mobility on Tuesday.
The partnership aims to expand BluSmart’s all-electric fleet, aligning with the growing consumer preference for sustainable transportation alternatives.
As part of this partnership, Citroën and BluSmart Mobility signed an MoU for the supply of 4,000 units of the electric SUV e-C3. The initial phase of this partnership saw 125 Citroën e-C3 vehicles flagged off from BluSmart’s EV charging superhub in Bengaluru.
Citroën’s all-electric compact SUV will augment BluSmart’s growing fleet of over 7,000 EVs. The e-C3 offers a range of 320 km as per ARAI and features fast charging technology capable of achieving a full charge in less than an hour.

BluSmart claims that its born-electric technology stack operates 7,000 EVs and has completed over 12.5 million all-electric trips since inception. BluSmart also owns and operates 4,400 EV Chargers across its 36 EV Charging superhubs spread across megacities of Delhi NCR and Bangalore.

Recently, BluSmart entered into a multi-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Tata Power Trading Company Ltd. (TPTCL) to source green power, making it the first mobility player in India to transition from zero tailpipe emissions to a 100% emission-free company.
