GAT-B, BET Registrations Window Closes Tomorrow At dbt.nta.ac.in; Check Exam Pattern Here
GAT-B 2024: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will close applications for the Graduate Aptitude Test- Biotechnology (GAT-B) and the GAT-Biotechnology Eligibility Test (BET) 2024 tomorrow, March 5. Both tests are set for April 20, 2024. The GAT-B 2024 score is only valid for admissions to the academic year 2024-25.
Candidates interested in taking the GAT-B 2024 or GAT-BET 2024 tests can apply online at dbt.nta.ac.in or nta.ac.in. The GAT-B and GAT-BET exams will last three hours each in distinct shifts. The GAT-B exam will be administered in the first shift, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. The second shift exam will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. for applicants who have registered for GAT-BET.
To register for both the GAT-B 2024 and GAT-BET 2024 tests, students from the unreserved (UR), other backward class non-creamy layer (OBC-NCL), and economically weaker section (EWS) categories will have to pay Rs 1200. The application fee for scheduled castes (SC), scheduled tribes (ST), and persons with disabilities (PwD) is Rs 600.
The GAT-B 2024 and GAT-BET 2024 application form correction window will be open from March 8 to March 9. The admission cards for both exams will shortly be available on the official website.
GAT-B 2024: Studentship support
Candidates for GAT-B 2024 who are admitted to the Department of Biotechnology (DBT) funded postgraduate studies in Biotechnology and allied sciences at participating institutes and universities will receive the stipend listed below.
– Master of Science (MSc) in biotechnology and allied science: Rs 5000 per month
– MSc in agricultural biotechnology: Rs 7500 per month
– Master of Technology (MTech) in biotechnology and allied sciences and Masters of Veterinary Science (MVSc) programmes: Rs 12000 per month
GAT-B 2024: Exam pattern
The GAT-B 2024 exam is divided into two parts: Part A and Part B. The exam will consist of 160 questions, including 60 in part A and 100 in part B. Candidates will need to answer at least 120 questions in total. Part A has one mark for each question, while Part B carries three marks for each section.
