Google Introduces ‘Vids’ AI Feature to Workspace for Easy Video Creation
Google has announced that it is introducing new AI-powered functions to its Workspace Business suite. These new AI functions will give workspace accounts new capabilities. Google will also introduce a paid add-on for its users at $10 per month. Among the new AI-powered features, Google has also launched Google Vids, an AI-powered video creation application in its Workspace suite. This new application will be integrated into cloud-native solutions such as Docs, Sheets and Slides. With the launch of Vids, Google aims to simplify the video creation process for businesses using Google Workspace.
With the launch of Vids, Google claims that it is designed to enhance storytelling at work. Some of the examples explained by Google include the fact that it can be used by HR to introduce a new employee to the company culture. It can also be used by departments to equip employees with training materials. Another place it can be used by sales professionals during their pitches and engaging their customers.
Google has revealed that their Vids app will require some basic information and instructions that are required to be displayed in a video. Users can also select a specific type of style that will be provided in the list of templates. Vids users will also get the facility to add voice-over to videos, making them easier to understand. There is also the option to collaborate and share videos with others to make changes on the fly. Finally, users just have to press the ‘Create’ button, and their video will be created. Google Vids will be a video creation platform that will enable users to generate storyboards, compile collections of stock videos and images, and more using a simple interface.
It will be a very cost-effective and time- and resource-saving feature for many small businesses without the need for expensive equipment or specialized skills. Google has also announced that it is expected to be released in June 2024 and does not require paid add-ons.
