Google Meet Introduces New Feature For Web Users To Enhance Users’ Looks

Video calls have seamlessly integrated into the professional landscape, becoming a standard practice even in the post-pandemic era. While the introduction of new features may not match the rapid pace set by platforms like Microsoft Teams, Zoom, or Google, occasional updates to enhance user experiences.

Recently, Google Meet introduced a noteworthy addition aimed at boosting user confidence and presentation quality during virtual meetings: portrait touch-up.

Initially available solely on mobile devices, this feature is now being gradually rolled out to the web version of Google Meet. The portrait touch-up feature offers users a choice between two settings, allowing them to achieve their desired appearance.

The “Subtle touch-up” setting provides subtle adjustments, delicately smoothing the complexion and minimising the appearance of under-eye circles and puffiness. On the other hand, opting for the “Smoothing” setting delivers a more refined look by significantly enhancing skin texture and reducing the visibility of morning shadows, resulting in a polished appearance.

Within this tab, you’ll discover the portrait touch-up options along with a live preview feature, enabling you to preview the effect before entering the call.
