Government Issues Security Warning To Google Chrome Users
New Delhi: The Computer Emergency Response Team(CERT-In) has released an alert with high severity for Google Chrome users impacting those on Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems. The central agency stated that multiple vulnerabilities have been reported in Google chrome for desktops that could be exploited by a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the targeted system.
“These vulnerabilities exist in Google Chrome for Desktop due to Uninitialized use in dawn; Out of bounds read in WebTransport and Insufficient data validation in dawn. An attacker could exploit these vulnerabilities by persuading a victim to visit a specially crafted request,” CERT-In in a press release(dated August 7) said.
