Gurugram Horror: Neighbour slits 14-year-old’s throat in revenge; police intensify searches to nab accused

A chilling incident unfolded in Gurugram’s Silokhra village as a 14-year-old girl was allegedly murdered by her neighbour, who slit her throat and hid the body in his room before fleeing the crime spot.

The tragic incident, which took place on February 9, shocked the community and left the victim’s family devastated.

Heinous act as an act of revenge

Initial investigations suggest that the accused, identified as Bahadur and residing next door to the victim’s family, carried out the heinous act as an act of revenge against them. The girl, who lived with her family in a one-room rented space, went missing while fetching soap from a common toilet, triggering a frantic search by her family.

Victim’s father forced entry into Bahadur’s room

Upon questioning by the victim’s father, Bahadur falsely claimed that the girl had gone out to buy food. However, suspicions arose, leading to a grim discovery when the father forced entry into Bahadur’s room and found his daughter’s lifeless body wrapped in a blanket, drenched in blood.

Bahadur fled scene and is currently on run

Following the gruesome revelation, Bahadur fled the scene and is currently on the run. A police team swiftly responded to the distress call, recovering the victim’s body and launching an investigation into the murder. An FIR was lodged against Bahadur under Section 302 of the IPC based on the father’s complaint, citing a history of animosity between the families stemming from a previous altercation, Station House Officer (SHO) Manoj Kumar said.
