Harbhajan Singh Slams Michael Vaughan After India's Dominant Win Over England in T20 World Cup Semi-final
Former England captain Michael Vaughan is not a happy camper since India made it to the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup 2022 and will face England in the second semi-final on a spin-friendly track at Guyana. India eventually beat England to reach the final, even though Vaughan was on it with his tirade against India, accusing the ICC of giving India a convenient venue and convenient time for the semi-final match.
If England had beaten SA they would have got the Trinidad semi and I believe they would have won that game .. So no complaints they haven’t been good enough .. But Guyana has been a lovely venue pick for India 👍👍 Michael Vaughan (@MichaelVaughan) June 27, 2024
Yes, India’s semi-final match was pre-fixed, but that was to keep the TV audience (Indian subcontinent). Vaughan went further, hinting that the Guyana track was a ‘beautiful choice of venue for India’.
“If England had beaten SA, they could have got the Trinidad Semi, and I believe they could have won that game.. so no complaints that they weren’t good enough.. but Guyana is a beautiful place for India.” Vaughan wrote in response to the tweet.
What makes u think Guyana was a good venue for India ? Both Teams played on the same venue . England won the toss that was an advantage . Stop being silly . England was outplayed by India in all departments. Accept the fact and Move on and keep ur rubbish with urself. Talk logic… Harbhajan Turbanator (@harbhajan_singh) June 27, 2024
However, former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh called out Vaughan and took to X (formerly Twitter) to silence Vaughan once and for all, reminding the former England cricketer to always stop talking nonsense. “Do you think Guyana was a good place for India? Both teams played at the same venue. England winning the toss was an advantage. Stop being stupid. England was ahead of India in all departments. Accept the fact and move on and take your trash with you. Talk logic not nonsense,” wrote Harbhajan.
